Job Description:
Robert Half is excited to be recruiting an experienced Finance Business Partner to join the team of one of North Yorkshires most recognisable and respected companies on a fixed-term contract, covering an internal secondment until June 2027.
The successful candidate will develop an in-depth understanding of cost of sales and raw materials, delivering insightful reporting and closely partnering with colleagues to enhance business performance. They will play a vital part in developing systems, reporting, and processes to streamline efficiency and deliver high-quality financial information company-wide. This role is central to supporting the broader Finance function through data, analysis, and guidance on cost of sales issues.
Key Experience and Skills:
*Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand complex processes
*Confidence working with ambiguity and cross-functional teams
*Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor financial insights to various audiences
*Initiative, accuracy, and keen attention to detail
*Strong influencing skills and a drive for continuous improvement
Key Responsibilities Include:
*Developing and enhancing reporting, systems, and processes in partnership with systems colleagues, including embedding standard costing
*Producing and interpreting regular variance and stock analyses, identifying and communicating corrective actions as necessary
*Reviewing General Ledger transactions and ensuring appropriate accounting treatment of write-offs
*Maintaining oversight of raw materials stock positions and preparing relevant financial commentary
*Supporting the annual audit and contributing to regular Supply KPIs
*Providing data for forecasting, including foreign exchange and insurance, and collaborating with Operations on external capacity requirements
