Customer Services Team Lead
Location: Alton, Hampshire (office based)
Salary: £30 – 34K DOE
Hours: 40 hours per week, permanent full-time.
About the Role
Our client, a well-established and growing organisation, is seeking an experienced and motivated Customer Services Team Lead to join their UK operations based in Alton, Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with strong leadership skills to take ownership of customer service delivery and order processing functions.
You will play a key role in managing all customer touchpoints across the UK business, ensuring a high standard of service while leading and developing a small, dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead, support, and develop a small order processing team (currently 2 team members)
*Allocate and balance daily workloads to ensure efficiency and service levels are met
*Act as the first point of escalation, identifying and resolving issues promptly
*Collaborate with customers and international sales teams to ensure timely resolutions
*Review and manage customer-facing documentation, including Terms & Conditions, NDAs, and onboarding forms
*Provide regular updates to sales teams on order progress and customer requirements
*Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within CRM and ERP systems
*Oversee and manage UK demo stock
*Host and support customer visits at UK sites when required
About You
*Proven experience in a customer service environment, ideally within a B2B or order-processing setting
*Previous team leadership or supervisory experience is essential
*Confident using CRM platforms and ERP/order-entry systems
*Excellent communication, organisational, and administrative skills
*Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
*Strong IT skills and attention to detail
Working Environment
*Office-based role in Alton, Hampshire
*Standard office working conditions
*Reporting directly to the General Manager
