Job Description:
Finance Manager
Role Purpose
Manage the full finance function, ensuring accurate reporting, HMRC compliance, and financial support for construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
*Prepare and submit VAT, CIS, and payroll submissions.
*Raise and manage sales invoices; chase outstanding payments.
*Process supplier invoices, reconcile statements, and manage payment runs.
*Maintain general ledger; complete monthly journals and management reports.
*Monitor cash flow and perform bank reconciliations.
*Prepare project cost reports and track profitability.
*Manage subcontractor verification, records, and insurance compliance.
*Assist with year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants.
Skills & Experience
*Finance experience in construction (preferred).
*Strong knowledge of VAT, CIS, payroll, and HMRC processes.
*Proficient in Excel and accounting software.
*Highly organised, accurate, and commercially aware.
