The Role
*Visit existing and prospective customers to identify needs and promote products and services
*Work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
*Develop a strong understanding of metrology principles and applications
*Generate and qualify sales leads, collaborating with technical specialists where required
*Liaise with internal teams to progress opportunities and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
*Prepare quotations, negotiate with clients, and close sales to meet or exceed targets
*Maintain accurate sales records using CRM and company IT systems
*Support exhibitions, product demonstrations, and marketing events
*Work with Finance on customer accounts, payments, and queries
*Respond promptly to customer enquiries regarding pricing, availability, and terms
*Proven experience in technical or field sales (ideally within engineering or manufacturing industries)
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*Technical aptitude with the ability to understand complex product ranges
*Self-motivated, organised, and capable of managing your own territory
*Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
