Job Description:
QC Laboratory Technician Location: Bridgend (must live locally or have reliable transport)
Contract Type: Temporary ongoing
Rate: £16.76 per hour
Hours: 12-hour shifts (days & nights on a rotating pattern)
We are recruiting a QC Laboratory Technician to join a well-established manufacturing company in Bridgend. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop lab skills, gain technical experience, and progress in a quality-focused role. No previous laboratory experience is required - full, structured training is provided over the first 3 months.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a QC Lab Technician, you will:
*Carry out quality testing throughout the production process to ensure products meet specifications
*Use pipettes and other laboratory equipment (full training provided)
*Record data accurately and follow strict quality procedures
*Identify and resolve basic quality issues such as out-of-spec results
*Work closely with production and engineering teams
*Support continuous improvement and maintain high-quality standards

Shift PatternYou’ll begin with 4 weeks of day shifts:
Monday - Friday, 8.00am - 3.30pm
Then move onto a 4-week rotating shift pattern:
*Week 1: Wed-Fri, 6pm-6.15am
*Week 2: Wed-Fri, 6am-6.15pm
*Week 3: Sun-Tues, 6pm-6.15am
*Week 4: Sun-Tues, 6am-6.15pm
