Facilities ManagerLocation: Harlow (Onsite)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:45-16:45
Holiday: 20 days + Bank Holidays
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the technical operations of a high-precision aerospace company. This role is hands-on, compliance-focused, and critical to keeping the site safe, efficient, and fully audit-ready.
You will be responsible for ensuring all equipment, systems, and documentation meet strict industry standards, while leading a small maintenance team and supporting continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities*Maintain full AS9100 and Nadcap audit readiness, including documentation, calibration records, and maintenance logs.
*Manage key technical equipment such as rectifiers, cranes, ovens, DI water systems, air compressors, and HVAC.
*Oversee heating and ventilation systems across the factory and offices.
*Work with the HSE Manager and Chief Chemist to monitor tank integrity and complete regular safety inspections.
*Manage the safe treatment and disposal of hazardous chemical waste in line with environmental permits.
*Lead facility upgrade projects, including new installation work and sustainability initiatives, while managing budgets.
*Coordinate external contractors for specialist maintenance and repairs.
*Lead and support a small internal maintenance team.
*Work closely with production and other departments to resolve equipment issues quickly.
About You*Ideally some experience in a high-tech or chemical processing maintenance environment.
*Strong technical understanding of chemical processing equipment and handling corrosive fluids.
*Knowledge of confined space protocols and chemical safety.
*Comfortable working in a highly regulated environment with strict compliance requirements.
*Ability to obtain SC or ITAR clearance if required.
*NEBOSH qualifications are an advantage.
