We are seeking an experienced, organised, and confident School Receptionist to join a welcoming and busy school office in Middlesbrough.
This is an immediate-start temporary position running until the end of May 2026.

As the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school’s front office

Key Responsibilities
*Greeting visitors, parents, and pupils in a friendly and professional manner
*Managing incoming calls and emails
*Supporting general administrative tasks within the school office
*Maintaining accurate records and filing systems
*Handling queries and signposting to relevant members of staff
*Ensuring safeguarding and visitor procedures are followed at all times
About You
*Previous experience in a school office or busy reception environment is desirable
*Strong communication and customer service skills
*Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
*Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
*Confident using IT systems and following school procedures
*Reliable, professional, and able to commit to the fixed working hours
This role is full-time, 8am-4pm, and the hours cannot be adjusted. The successful candidate must be fully available to start as soon as possible with an enhanced DBS registered to the update service
