Support Worker (Two-to-One Care)
Dymchurch, Kent | 28 hours per week | Salary: To be agreed
We are recruiting a Support Worker to provide two-to-one daily support to an adult female living in a Shared Lives family home in Dymchurch.
Shift pattern (7 days per week):
*07:15–09:15
*17:30–19:30
Total: 28 hours per week
About the Role
This role involves supporting morning and evening routines, personal care, safe moving and handling, meal preparation, and one-to-one engagement within a two-to-one care arrangement.
The individual benefits from structure and routine and attends a day centre during the week. She has a speech delay and may present with behaviours that challenge, so a calm and observant approach is essential. Experience supporting individuals with epilepsy is required. A Positive Behavioural Support Plan (PBS) is already in place.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
*Has experience supporting adults with learning disabilities
*Has experience supporting individuals with epilepsy
*Is confident providing personal care
*Can work effectively within a two-to-one care team
*Is patient, reliable and person-centred
*Can follow behavioural support plans and consistent routines
*Communicates clearly and allows time for the individual to express herself
Desirable
*Moving & handling training
*PBS experience
*Shared Lives or similar experience
