Job Description:
Accounts Assistant | Permanent | Office based
REED Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a local, family run business just a short walk outside Belfast City Centre and are actively recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their small team.
This role is office based and full time, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
The Role:
*Carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadline
*Collect and allocate payments
*Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments or other irregularities
*Research and resolve payment discrepancies and customer queries
*Generate aged analysis for review with management
*Process all Bacs/cheques received in compliance with established procedures
*Reconcile daily bank
*Process payroll (Sage Payroll)
The Person
*2 years’ experience in a finance role
*Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including intermediate or advanced Excel Skills
*Experience of Sage 50 Accounts
Personal Specification
*Flexible approach to work and the ability to multi-task
*Planning organisational and time management skills
*Ability to adjust priorities according to changing business needs and to meet deadlines
*Strong inter-personal skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
