Yardman
Our client has opportunities available as a Yardman based in a construction business outside Peterborough.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors and being part of a practical, fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting daily yard operations and providing excellent service to their customers.
Main Duties:


*Loading and unloading goods using a forklift as trained.
*Assisting and serving customers.
*Moving and organising stock within the yard and warehouse.
*Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe yard environment with clear turning areas for vehicles.
*Supporting the wider team with general yard duties as required.
*Liaising with Works Manager regarding stock levels
*Ensuring all visitors to site are signed in and comply with site rules.
*Making up orders.
*Liaising with office regarding samples and supplies.
*Local deliveries by Flatbed.
Skills and Experience:


*Forklift licence preferred (training will be provided for the right candidate).
*Ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor role.
*Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
*Good communication skills and a helpful attitude with customers.
*Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team.
*Self-motivated and willingness to learn and be a good communicator.
*Full driving licence.
Working Hours:


*Full-time position; 7:00am – 4pm; Monday – Friday
