Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be partnering with a thriving independent firm in South Yorkshire as they look to welcome a Digital Client Bookkeeper into their expanding team. This is a newly created role following another recent addition to the team late 2025 – we know this firm incredibly well and highly recommend them as one of South Yorkshire’s most flexible accountancy practices!


The business has recently acquired a substantial new portfolio of legacy SME and OMB clients across the region. As part of this role, you’ll take ownership of day to day accounting processes while building strong, direct relationships with your clients, playing a key part in helping them manage and understand their financial information.


This role will be ideal for someone with experience of bookkeeping within an accountancy practice, based within Yorkshire, that is looking for more flexibility around their day-to-day life. What’s on offer:
*Salary between £30,000 - £32,000
*Remote role with occasional travel to South Yorkshire clients
*Bespoke benefits package
*25 days AL + 8 BH
Duties and responsibilities:
*Maintaining and keeping accurate and complete financial records for client’s bookkeeping using Xero
*Processing sales invoices, receipts, and payments
*Completion of bank reconciliations
*Preparation of client VAT returns
*Ownership of accounts payable and receivable processes
*Engage with clients responding to their queries where needed


Person Specification:
*AAT Qualified
*Experience of working within accountancy practice in a bookkeeping role
*Ability to travel to clients based locally within South Yorkshire
*Proficient in the use of Xero and other accounting software packages
