We are working on behalf of a well-established client located in Thirsk, North Yorkshire, who is looking to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager – Groundworks to oversee multiple regional projects. This hands-on leadership role requires a strong focus on health & safety, project delivery, and team coordination within groundworks and civils projects.


Key Responsibilities
*Enforce and monitor industry-standard health & safety procedures across all projects
*Manage works involving groundworks, roads, sewers, earthworks, and plotworks
*Oversee civils projects, including bulk earthworks, remediation, drainage, hard landscaping, and surfacing
*Prepare, monitor, and maintain technical documentation, programmes, and reports
*Lead, motivate, and coordinate site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
*Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams
*Represent the organisation at senior-level meetings, presenting updates and reports


Skills & Experience Required
*Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or similar role, with experience in groundworks
*Strong knowledge of roads, sewers, civils, and earthworks
*Willingness to travel to other sites as and when required
*Excellent IT skills, including Excel, Word, and MS Project
*Outstanding communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
*Exceptional attention to detail in documentation, planning, and reporting
*Professional, personable approach to clients and stakeholders
