We’re looking for a Referral Lead to join our growing clinical administration team and support the smooth running of patient pathways.
About the Role
As a Referral Lead, you will play a key role in managing and processing patient referrals across multiple systems. You’ll ensure information is captured accurately, appointments are scheduled promptly, and service standards are met at every stage of the patient journey.
This role is perfect for someone who is confident working with clinical data, enjoys dealing with both internal clinicians and external partners, and takes pride in delivering an exceptional experience to patients.
Key Responsibilities

*Liaise with GP practices, clinical teams, and external partners to gather missing information when required.
*Allocate appointments and manage clinic schedules to optimise capacity.
*Maintain accurate patient records and update relevant systems.
*Work closely with clinicians to support safe decision-making and pathway management.
*Ensure all referral pathways follow current clinical, operational, and governance standards.
*Provide high-quality administrative support to the wider service.
What We’re Looking For
*Experience in a healthcare, referrals, booking, scheduling, or clinic coordination environment.
*Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
*Confident communicator with the ability to engage professionally with clinicians, patients, and partner organisations.
*Comfortable working with clinical terminology (training can be provided).
*Proficient in IT systems, with the ability to learn new software quickly.
*Highly organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
*A team player with a positive, solution-focused approach.
What We Offer
*A supportive, friendly team environment.
*Opportunities for professional development and training.
*The chance to play an important role in improving patient experience.
*A stable and rewarding permanent position.
