Engineering Geologist
Bristol
£30,000 - £35,000
A well-established ground engineering consultancy in Bristol is looking to bring in an Engineering Geologist to support a growing pipeline of work across the South West. This is a great opportunity for someone with a few years’ experience who enjoys a mix of site work and reporting, and wants to be part of a close-knit team.
You’ll be involved in a range of residential, commercial and infrastructure projects, gaining exposure to both geotechnical and geoenvironmental aspects.
What you’ll be doing
*Supervising ground investigations on site (trial pits, boreholes, logging)
*Soil and rock logging to current standards
*Collecting and managing samples for laboratory testing
*Assisting with factual and interpretative report writing
*Supporting geotechnical analysis and foundation recommendations
*Liaising with contractors and site teams
*Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained on site
What they’re looking for
*Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology or a related field
*Around 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role
*Good understanding of ground investigation techniques
*Strong logging and report writing skills
*Full UK driving licence
*Keen to learn and develop technically
