Job Description:
Are you a passionate SEN Teacher looking for a new opportunity in a welcoming mainstream primary school?

Are you an experienced SEN Teacher looking for a new role to start in April 2026?
Academics is currently working with a friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school in Hammersmith, which is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join its supportive team from 13th April 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working with pupils in small group settings, delivering structured interventions and supporting KS1 children with Autism and ASD to make meaningful progress across the curriculum.
This mainstream primary school in Hammersmith supports pupils with a strong focus on inclusion and high-quality SEN provision within KS1. The school has a collaborative ethos and works closely with support staff and external professionals to ensure pupils with additional needs are fully supported to develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
Location: Mainstream Primary School - Hammersmith
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Start Date: 13th April 2026
Salary: M2-M5 (dependent on experience)
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
*Plan and deliver engaging lessons and targeted interventions for KS1 pupils with Autism and ASD.
*Work with small groups and individuals to support learning, communication, and social development.
*Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs and ensure all pupils can access the curriculum.
*Collaborate closely with class teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals to provide consistent and effective support.
*Create a structured, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes confidence and independence.
*Uphold high professional standards and safeguarding practices in line with school policies.
What We’re Looking For:
*Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
*Have completed an undergraduate degree.
*Have experience supporting pupils with Autism and ASD, ideally within a mainstream primary setting.
*Have experience delivering interventions and working with groups of children across KS1 and KS2.
*Demonstrate patience, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education.
