NET Recruit is partnering with a fast-growing SME in the pet services and insurance sector to recruit a new Finance Manager. The company provides various services, including pet insurance, support for buying groups, and facilities management solutions, enabling veterinarians to efficiently manage and deliver pet health plans. Your Role and Responsibilities
While in this position your duties may include, but are not limited to:
*Leading and managing a team of 4 finance professionals, including both qualified and non-qualified members
*Ensuring the team meet deadlines and maintain high levels of performance and accuracy
*Coaching, mentoring, and supporting team members with day-to-day challenges, fostering development and engagement
*Delegating tasks effectively while maintaining productivity and team interest
*Maintaining progression frameworks and conducting regular 1-2-1 reviews
*Overseeing the production of management accounts and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
*Supporting the transition and integration of bookkeeping processes into the internal finance function
*Driving improvements in financial systems, processes, and efficiencies
*Supporting the implementation of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
*Ensuring statutory obligations are met, including payroll, VAT, and other regulatory submissions
*Acting as a key financial business partner, providing insight and challenge to stakeholders
*Supporting decision-making across the business with commercial and operational financial input
*Becoming deeply involved in the wider business to understand how finance supports all service lines
What You Will Need to Apply:
Please apply only if you meet the following criteria:
*Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with at least 2+ years post-qualified experience
*Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing finance team members
*Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
*Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Ability to work independently and take ownership of financial processes
