Trainee Recruitment Consultant
Location: Birchwood, Warrington
Salary: Year 1 OTE £35,000-£40,000 | Year 2 OTE £45,000–£60,000+
Contract: Permanent
We’re recruiting a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join McCarthy Recruitment as part of our continued growth.
This role is ideal for someone currently working in retail, hospitality, customer service, sales or another people-focused role who is looking to move into a professional career with clear progression, structured training and uncapped earning potential.
No recruitment experience is required — full training and support will be provided.
The Role
As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, you’ll learn how to connect talented people with leading businesses across the UK.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Speaking with candidates to understand their experience and career goals
*Supporting recruitment campaigns from start to finish
*Building long-term relationships with candidates and clients
*Advertising roles and sourcing suitable applicants
*Managing interview processes and offers
*Working closely with an experienced, supportive team while you learn the role
This is a fast-paced, varied role with plenty of opportunity to develop new skills.

*Enjoys talking to people and building relationships
*Is organised, proactive and motivated
*Has strong communication skills
*Is ambitious and keen to develop a long-term career
*Wants a role where performance is recognised and rewarded
Previous recruitment experience is not required — attitude, drive and potential matter more.
