Are you an experienced Personal Tax professional ready to take the next step? Our client, a reputable and growing accountancy practice in the North East, is looking for a Personal Tax Manager to join their high-performing team.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a qualified (CTA/ATT/ACA/ACCA) tax specialist to manage their own portfolio while supporting, reviewing, and developing junior team members.
The Role
As Personal Tax Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality compliance and advisory services across a broad portfolio. Your role will include:
*Managing a varied portfolio of personal tax clients, including HNWIs, directors, landlords, and partnerships
*Reviewing personal tax returns prepared by junior staff
*Providing technical support, training, and feedback to the wider tax team
*Handling complex tax queries and advisory work
*Building strong client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
*Ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met
*Spotting opportunities to enhance client service and add value
About You
You’ll be a confident communicator with excellent tax knowledge and a proactive mindset. Ideally, you will have:
*CTA / ATT / ACA / ACCA qualification (or significant practice tax experience)
*Strong experience within personal tax in an accountancy practice setting
*Previous experience reviewing work and supporting junior colleagues
*Ability to manage a busy portfolio and meet deadlines
*Strong technical and legislative understanding
*A client-focused, professional approach
