Job Description:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a talented CAD Designer to join a growing Audio Visual team based in the Slough/Maidenhead area. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for technical design, a sharp eye for detail, and a desire to progress within the fast-moving AV integration sector.
As a CAD Designer, you will play a key role in producing high-quality technical drawings and documentation to support the delivery of professional AV solutions across corporate, commercial and specialist environments. You’ll work closely with project managers, engineers and designers to ensure all drawings are accurate, compliant and aligned with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities*Produce detailed CAD drawings for AV system designs, schematics, layouts and technical documentation.
*Work closely with design and engineering teams to translate concepts into accurate technical drawings.
*Maintain drawing standards, templates and documentation to ensure consistency across projects.
*Update drawings throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring all revisions are tracked and recorded.
*Assist in the preparation of technical packs for installation and commissioning teams.
*Interpret technical specifications, system designs and equipment lists.
*Support the wider design function with ad-hoc tasks and project coordination where required.
*Ensure all work meets industry standards and internal quality expectations.
Skills & Experience Required*Experience in a CAD design role, ideally within the Audio Visual, M&E, construction or technical engineering sectors.
*Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (or similar CAD software).
*Understanding of AV systems, signal flow, rack layouts or technical drawings (desirable but not essential).
*Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to design work.
*Ability to interpret technical information and convert it into clear, accurate drawings.
*Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technical teams.
*Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
