Role: Personal Advisor – Leaving Care
Salary: Grade 6
Location: North West Manchester
Hours: Monday–Friday, between 08:00–20:00
Driving licence & access to a vehicle required
About the RoleA Leaving Care Service is seeking a dedicated and passionate Personal Advisor to support young people aged 16–25 as they transition into independent adulthood.
You will build strong, positive relationships, provide practical and emotional support, coordinate services, and ensure each young person is empowered to achieve successful outcomes in education, employment, health, accommodation, and financial independence.
Key Responsibilities*Managing a caseload of young people and maintaining accurate case records
*Contributing to and updating Pathway Plans
*Assessing and supporting young people returning to education/training
*Ensuring young people’s wishes and views shape their support
*Providing practical advice on housing, budgeting, life skills, and wellbeing
*Coordinating multi-agency support and promoting independence
*Identifying risks, reviewing plans, and adjusting support as needed
*Encouraging engagement in local and national services, both statutory and voluntary

Requirements*Full UK driving licence + daily access to a vehicle
*Willingness to undertake a DBS check
*Knowledge of legislation relating to care leavers (advantageous)
*Ability to work between 08:00–20:00, Monday to Friday
