Principal Product Developer

The Principal Product Developer leads product development for a key industrial customer in EMEA, driving innovation and differentiation through new technologies. The role manages UK-based Product Development projects, ensuring excellence in customer engagement and technical delivery, while partnering with internal and external stakeholders to create market-preferred products using McCormick’s global innovation and technical expertise.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
*Lead and manage the UK Product Development team projects to deliver best-in-class flavour solutions.
*Develop and launch innovative and renovated seasoning products to drive growth.
*Oversee medium- and long-term innovation pipelines aligned with business strategy.
*Build and strengthen customer partnerships, driving technical collaboration and intimacy.
*Translate business objectives into impactful, differentiated product designs.
*Deliver cost-effective, high-quality flavour solutions using technical and culinary insights.
*Identify and close technology gaps to support long-term product and process advancement.
*Ensure project excellence through clear planning, execution, and cross-functional alignment.


CANDIDATE PROFILE
*Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related discipline.
*Proven hands-on experience in seasoning or dry blend product development.
*Strong project management skills with a track record of technical leadership.
*Previous team management experience will be an asset.
*Demonstrated success in managing multiple priorities within a dynamic environment.
*Deep understanding of B2B relationships and how to drive value through technical partnership.
*Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
*Creative, results-driven, and adaptable with strong business acumen.
*Passionate about innovation, quality, and delivering market-preferred products.
