Brickwork Lecturer – Further Education
Location: Manchester
Contract: Temporary, ongoing
Hours: Full time
Pay: £35+ per hour (dependent on experience)
A leading Further Education college in Manchester is seeking an experienced Brickwork Lecturer to join their Construction department on a temporary ongoing basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled trades professional or experienced FE lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching across Level 1 and Level 2 Brickwork, covering practical, theory, and employability elements.
Key Responsibilities*Deliver engaging practical and classroom-based lessons in Brickwork at Level 1 and 2.
*Support learners in developing core trade skills, safe working practices, and industry knowledge.
*Teach underpinning theory, including materials, tools, techniques, and construction processes.
*Embed employability skills to prepare learners for progression into apprenticeships or employment.
*Assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records.
*Ensure a safe, inclusive, and motivational workshop environment.
Requirements*Industry experience in Brickwork or Construction.
*Teaching qualification (or willingness to work toward one).
*Assessing qualification desirable but not essential.
*Experience teaching in Further Education is preferred.
