Job Description:
Purchase Ledger Controller
*Location: Norwich
*Job Type: Permanent, Part-time
Reed Accountancy Norwich is excited to offer a unique opportunity for a dedicated Purchase Ledger Controller to join a respected, values-driven organisation in Norwich. This part-time role is perfect for someone with a finance background who values accuracy, enjoys managing varied tasks, and is keen on making a significant community impact.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Maintain the supplier ledger and ensure smooth operation of the finance function.
*Manage the purchase ledger and document management system.
*Prepare weekly BACS payment runs.
*Administer cash and credit card transactions.
*Provide essential reporting for managers, senior leadership, funders, and the board.
*Assist with bank reconciliations and support annual accounts and budget preparation.
*Utilise online banking facilities confidently.
*Ensure confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*AAT qualified or equivalent.
*Proficient in using Microsoft Office.
*Experience working within a finance department.
*Strong understanding of financial principles and legal finance requirements.
*Awareness of reporting requirements, best practices, and financial legislation.
*Excellent communication skills, highly organised, analytical, and accurate.
Personal Qualities:
*Supportive team player with a collaborative approach.
*Ability to work independently and make confident day-to-day decisions.
*Calm, level-headed, and reliable.
*A sense of humour is very welcome!
