Overview
We are seeking a dedicated FLT/Warehouse Operative to join our team on the late shift. This role involves supporting warehouse operations through efficient materials handling, equipment management, and shipping & receiving activities. The successful candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems and mechanical tasks, ensuring smooth and safe warehouse functions during their shift.
Duties
*Operate counterbalance forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
*Load and unload goods from lorries, containers, and storage areas
*Manage materials handling using appropriate techniques and tools
*Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation
*Conduct basic equipment repairs and maintenance as required
*Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements
*Support stock organisation and storage optimisation within the warehouse
*Follow health and safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure working environment
Requirements
*Proven experience in a warehouse environment, including shipping & receiving tasks
*Valid counterbalance forklift licence or relevant certification
*Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS)
*Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently
*Basic maths skills for inventory counts and documentation accuracy
*Experience with materials handling equipment such as pallet trucks or trolleys
*Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
*Ability to work effectively during late shifts in a fast-paced environment
