Job Description:
Advanced Practitioner – Children’s Services – ECC – Up to £34/hr
We are currently building a priority pool of Advanced Practitioners for upcoming local authority contracts across Essex.
This is a senior-level role suited to experienced Social Workers who are confident managing complex cases and supporting team performance within children’s services.
Key Responsibilities:
*Manage a caseload of complex and high-risk cases
*Provide guidance and mentoring to Social Workers
*Support Team Managers with oversight of casework
*Lead on safeguarding decisions and care planning
*Ensure compliance with statutory frameworks and local authority standards
Requirements:
*Social Work England registration
*Minimum 3–5 years post-qualified experience
*Strong background in safeguarding and child protection
*Experience supporting or mentoring junior staff
*Local authority experience essential
