United Utilities is investing over £60 million in strengthening our energy infrastructure and driving sustainable, efficient operations across our Water, Wastewater and Bioresources teams. As our Energy and Carbon Team grows for AMP8, we are looking for a Project Administrator who wants to make a real impact.
What You’ll Be DoingIn this role, you will play a key part in keeping our capital projects on track. Your day to day responsibilities will include:
Financial and SAP Administration
*Raising, managing and receipting purchase orders
*Tracking and reconciling project costs in SAP
*Processing and monitoring invoices and payments
*Approving costs for Journaling and correcting any cost misalignment
*Supporting accurate financial reporting
Project Coordination
*Setting up meetings, preparing agendas and managing logistics
*Producing clear, professional presentations, briefing packs and minutes
*Coordinating project updates with internal teams and external suppliers
*Maintaining project documentation and SharePoint collaboration spaces
*Supporting senior leaders with ad hoc administrative tasks
*Ensuring actions, risks and issues are captured and reported appropriately


Skills & ExperienceAs the Project Administrator, you will take pride in creating smooth, well organised processes, maintaining accurate information and keeping teams connected. You bring calm, clarity and structure to busy project environments, and you are the reliable person people trust to keep things running efficiently. With a proactive mindset, strong attention to detail and a focus on supporting others, you help ensure projects stay aligned and on track.
We are looking for someone who is:
*Experienced in SAP (strongly desired)
*Confident using MS Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
*Organised, methodical and strong in planning and prioritisation
*A clear communicator who works effectively with internal teams and suppliers
*A collaborative team player, supportive, approachable and respectful of others’ input
*Experienced in project support, coordination or administrative roles
*Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and managing multiple priorities
