About the Role
Cambridge Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub. This is a key frontline role responsible for screening contacts, gathering information, and providing informed recommendations to safeguard children and families.
Working Arrangements: Hybrid 2-3 days in the office
Key Responsibilities
*Screen incoming contacts and gather relevant information through discussions with parents, families, and partner agencies.
*Professionally liaise with partners, professionals, and members of the public to ensure effective information sharing.
*Provide clear, well-reasoned recommendations based on risk assessment and legislative frameworks.
*Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Children Act legislation and other relevant statutory guidance.
*Apply thresholds effectively and understand case trajectories within children’s services.
*Work collaboratively with other teams and services to ensure the needs and safety of children are prioritised and supported.
Skills
*Qualified Social Worker with relevant experience in a MASH
*Strong assessment and analytical skills.
*Confident communicator who can articulate recommendations clearly and professionally.
*Solid understanding of legislation and thresholds relating to children and families.
*Ability to work effectively with multi-agency partners to achieve positive outcomes.
