Looking for a finance role where your work genuinely makes a difference?
Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to be working with a well-established and highly respected organisation in the not-for-profit sector to recruit a Finance Manager. This is an organisation with a clear social purpose, a collaborative culture and a strong reputation for the impact they deliver across the region.
With a turnover of circa £5m, this is a key position within the organisation, offering the opportunity to lead a small finance team while playing a central role in financial planning, reporting and decision-making. The organisation promotes flexible working and a supportive environment where employees are trusted and valued.
This is a varied and hands-on role that would suit an experienced Finance Manager who enjoys both the technical and people aspects of finance.
Key responsibilities include:

- Producing monthly management accounts, forecasts and cashflow reporting
- Leading on year-end processes and statutory accounts preparation
- Ensuring robust financial controls, systems and procedures are in place

- Providing clear financial insight and reporting to senior stakeholders
- Supporting and developing finance team members, including appraisals and training
- Partnering with departments across the organisation to support budgeting and cost control
We are seeking a confident and organised Finance Manager with strong technical skills and proven experience in a similar role. You’ll be comfortable managing multiple priorities, leading a team and working closely with non-finance colleagues. A minimum AAT Level 4 qualification (or equivalent experience) is required, and experience within a not-for-profit or grant-funded environment would be beneficial but not essential.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a values-driven organisation offering flexibility, stability and the chance to be part of something meaningful. To apply, click apply and upload your CV and I will be in touch quickly. This vacancy is being managed by Elle Benjamin at Trial Balance Consulting, reference EB10957.
