Job Description:
I’m currently working with a leading healthcare provider to recruit a Domestic Services Manager to oversee cleaning operations within a busy hospital environment. This is a key role focused on delivering high standards of cleanliness, ensuring full compliance with NHS Cleaning Standards and Infection Prevention & Control (IPC), while leading large frontline teams in a fast-paced clinical setting.
The Role
You’ll take full ownership of domestic service delivery across the hospital, ensuring environments are safe, compliant, and consistently maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead domestic services in line with NHS standards and IPC protocols
Ensure environments are always audit-ready and support inspections
Manage and develop supervisors and ward-based teams
Drive a strong health & safety culture, managing incidents and improvements
Build strong relationships with matrons, ward managers, and FM team
Oversee rotas, staffing levels, training compliance, and budgets
Use audits and feedback to drive continuous improvement
About You
Proven experience in hospital domestic services, housekeeping, or Soft FM
Strong knowledge of NHS Cleaning Standards and IPC
Experienced in managing large, diverse teams
Organised, resilient, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Passionate about patient experience and service quality
Track record of delivering against KPIs and compliance targets
