Job Description:
We are currently working on behalf of a progressive and expanding manufacturing business in Newton Aycliffe, who are looking to recruit an experienced Estimator / Scheduler to support their continued growth.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a joinery background, combined with strong AutoCAD experience, to join a busy and collaborative office-based team.
As an Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing accurate quotations and detailed schedules for bespoke projects. You will be responsible for translating technical specifications into clear, production-ready information, supporting projects from initial enquiry through to manufacture.
Key Responsibilities
*Producing accurate and competitive estimates and quotations
*Creating and updating technical drawings using AutoCAD
*Preparing detailed schedules for manufacturing and project delivery
*Interpreting architectural and technical drawings
*Liaising with internal teams including sales, design, and production
*Ensuring all specifications meet required standards and client requirements
*Supporting the smooth transition from estimating to manufacturing
Key Requirements
*Previous experience in an Estimator and/or Scheduler role
*Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD
*Experience within door-sets, joinery, or a similar sector
*Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
*High level of attention to detail and organisation
*Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
*Based locally or able to commute to Newton Aycliffe
