Overview
We’re supporting a well-established housing association in Bristol in their search for a Tree Surgeon Team Leader to oversee arboriculture operations across their residential portfolio.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Tree Surgeon ready to step up, or an existing Team Leader looking for a more stable, community-focused environment.
You’ll lead a small team, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a consistently high standard, while maintaining excellent service for residents.


Responsibilities
*Lead, support, and motivate a team of Tree Surgeons on-site
*Plan and oversee daily arboriculture operations across multiple locations
*Carry out tree works including pruning, felling, and maintenance when required
*Ensure all equipment, vehicles, and PPE are safe and compliant
*Conduct quality checks and site inspections
*Assess tree health and manage risk across sites
*Manage workload, performance, and development of team members
*Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations
*Act as the main point of contact for residents and internal teams
*Support continuous improvement and best practice sharing


Requirements
*Strong experience in arboriculture / tree surgery
*Previous experience leading or supervising a team
*Relevant qualifications (NPTC / Lantra - CS30, CS31, CS32, CS40 etc.)
*Confident using arboriculture machinery and working at height
*Solid understanding of tree health, risk assessment, and site safety
*Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
*Full UK driving licence (essential)
*Ability to manage workloads and deliver against targets
*Professional, customer-focused approach
