Children’s Registered Manager – EBD Home (CM22)
Location: CM22 (Essex) Salary: £60,000–£75,000 (depending on experience) + performance bonuses Contract: Full-time, permanent
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced, passionate Registered Manager to lead a small, nurturing EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties) children’s home in the CM22 area. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape a high-quality service, build a strong team culture, and create a safe, stable environment where young people can thrive.
What You’ll Be Doing
*Leading the day-to-day running of a children’s residential home
*Ensuring full compliance with Ofsted, Children’s Homes Regulations, and safeguarding standards
*Developing a therapeutic, child-centred culture that promotes positive outcomes
*Managing, mentoring, and developing a high-performing staff team
*Overseeing care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies
*Building strong relationships with local authorities, professionals, and families
*Driving continuous improvement and preparing the home for Ofsted inspections
What We’re Looking For
*Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in an EBD setting
*Strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and regulatory frameworks
*Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
*A confident leader who can inspire, motivate, and maintain high standards
*Someone resilient, emotionally intelligent, and committed to improving young people’s lives
