Hours: Mon–Thurs 8:00am–4:30pm, Fri 8:00am–1:00pm

Actio Recruitment is supporting a long established engineering company on the Wirral with their search for an experienced Manual Miller. This is a superb opportunity to join a skilled, team producing high-quality, precision-engineered components for a range of industries.


The Role
As a Manual Miller, you will be responsible for producing precision components using traditional milling machinery. You’ll work from detailed engineering drawings, set up machines and tooling, and ensure all work meets strict quality standards. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in craftsmanship and accuracy.


Key Duties
*Operating manual milling machines to produce precision parts
*Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
*Setting up machines, tooling, and fixtures
*Carrying out in-process inspection using micrometers, verniers, gauges, etc.
*Working to tight tolerances and maintaining high quality
*Performing basic machine maintenance
*Keeping the work area clean, safe, and organised


About You
*Experienced Manual Miller with a background in precision engineering
*Confident reading technical drawings
*Skilled in using a range of measuring and inspection tools
*Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
*Able to work independently and as part of a small team
*Reliable, proactive, and quality-focused
