About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teacher to join a supportive specialist school in Chorley. This is a fantastic opportunity for both Primary and Secondary trained teachers, with positions available across both phases within the same setting.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)


*Support students with varying needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties
*Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
*Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff
*Monitor and track student progress, adapting approaches where necessary
*Build strong relationships with pupils to support both academic and emotional development

The Ideal Candidate


*Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
*Experience working with children or young people with SEND (in either a specialist or mainstream setting) is highly desirable
*Open to teachers transitioning from mainstream education into SEND
*Patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs
*Strong classroom management and adaptability
