Job Title: Workshop Fitter (Plant Hire)
Location: Northwest, Wellingborough
Pay: £15.50 per hour
Hours: Monday – Friday (50 hours per week)
Type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Workshop Fitter to join a busy and growing team. This role involves servicing, maintaining, and repairing plant equipment both on-site and at depots.
You’ll be working independently, responding to breakdowns, carrying out routine maintenance, and ensuring equipment is safe and operating efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, maintain, and repair plant machinery (excavators, dumpers, rollers, telehandlers, etc.)
- Technically strong Attend site breakdowns and carry out repairs
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate records
- Follow all health & safety procedures
- Liaise with teams and customers professionally
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience as a Plant Fitter or similar
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrics
Ability to work independently and problem solve
Full UK driving licence (essential)
