Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Accountant to join this dynamic Finance Team, initially for a 12 month period with very real long-term prospects.
In this role, you will play a key part in providing accurate financial reporting and analysis, enabling Senior Management and the Finance Team to drive the achievement of company objectives and budgets. Your expertise will help shape key financial insights and contribute to the continuous improvement of our financial processes.
What You’ll Do:
*Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and analysis, supporting the Finance Team and Senior Management in achieving agreed budgets and company objectives.
*Take full ownership of Balance Sheet areas, ensuring complete understanding, reconciliation, and reporting in line with monthly deadlines. Proactively highlight risks and opportunities and ensure robust governance is maintained at all times.
*Deliver insightful and relevant financial visibility on performance, offering commentary, trend analysis, and reviews to provide greater insight and aid in achieving company goals.
*Respond proactively to SOX testing and audit queries, meeting deadlines and ensuring a clean audit report is achieved.
*Collaborate with the Financial Controller to identify opportunities for process improvements and support the transformation of automated transactional areas.
*Assist the FP&A Controller in preparing the monthly Board review pack, providing clear and accurate reporting on divisional performance, relevant commentary, and any corrective action recommendations.
What You’ll Need:
*Part or Newly Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent), educated to degree level or equivalent work experience.
*Ideally, a background in practice (particularly Audit).
*Knowledge of IFRS 15 & IFRS 16.
*Strong experience in handling and interpreting large data sets using Excel, Power BI, or business systems.
*Ability to work under pressure and manage strict deadlines, particularly around month-end.
*Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to take initiative and manage your own workload.
*Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and communicate key observations for management’s attention.
*A proven track record of creating innovative solutions that contribute to operational efficiencies and cost management.
