1:1 SEN TA - Doncaster
Academics, acting as an agency, are seeking an experienced and resilient 1:1 SEN TA to work on a flexible, temporary ongoing basis within supportive mainstream primary schools across Doncaster.
This role requires a confident and skilled individual who has strong prior experience supporting pupils with additional needs on a one-to-one basis within a school setting.
Position: 1:1 SEN TA (Mainstream Primary)
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Contract: Flexible working pattern, temporary ongoing
Pay: £88.94 - £95 per day (paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees)
Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you
About the Role
As a 1:1 SEN TA in Doncaster, you will work closely with a named pupil who requires consistent, structured support due to needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH or communication difficulties.
You will play a key role in helping the pupil access the curriculum, manage their emotions, and develop both academically and socially within a mainstream classroom.
This 1:1 SEN TA role in Doncaster is best suited to candidates who already have strong experience working within schools and are confident supporting complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
Provide consistent 1:1 support within a classroom environment
* Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
* Support EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
* Implement behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
* Encourage independence and engagement in learning
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and parents
* Follow safeguarding procedures at all times
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience supporting SEN pupils within a school setting (essential)
* Strong understanding of Autism, ADHD, SEMH or similar needs
* Confident, calm and resilient approach
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to build strong relationships with pupils
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
