Aspiring Psychologist - Mental Health Assistant


An amazing school in Oxford are looking for an Aspiring Psychologist - Mental Health Assistant to join their team starting as soon as possible.
They are seeking someone who is passionate about mental health needs and the challenges and difficulties it can cause and someone who is genuinely interested in making a difference.


This school support children between the ages of 5 and 18, all of whom have been identified as struggling with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). An excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience with a variety of ages and needs.
The students in this school have endured adverse childhood experiences and trauma which has led to the development of these SEMH needs. This impacts their ability to cope with their emotions, regulate and learn effectively. This school are looking for someone who can provide support in a one to one and group capacity. Someone who will come in with a positive attitude and ensure a safe and fun learning environment.


A day to day in this role will look like:
*Providing hands on classroom support
*Supporting with personalised intervention plans
*Ensuring the students are able to cope and regulate their emotions in healthy ways
*Supporting with lessons
*Ensuing mental and emotional wellbeing


Those with a psychology background or keen interest in mental health will benefit from the experience this role will provide!
