Science Technician - Full-Time (5 Days per Week)

The Role
As a Science Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of engaging and practical science lessons across Key Stages 3-5. Working closely with teaching staff, you will ensure that laboratories are well-prepared, safe, and fully equipped to facilitate high-quality learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
*Prepare and set up equipment and materials for science lessons and experiments

*Maintain and organise laboratory stock, chemicals, and resources

*Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times

*Provide technical support to teaching staff during lessons where required

*Assist with the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment

*Support the smooth day-to-day running of the science department

Requirements
*Previous experience working as a Science Technician in a school setting

*Strong subject knowledge across one or more science disciplines

*A degree in a science-related field is highly desirable

*Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

*A proactive and flexible approach to work

*Strong understanding of health and safety procedures within a laboratory environment
