Purchasing Administrator
Location:Poole, Dorset


Job Overview:


We are proud to be working with a successful and established product business in Poole. They are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Purchasing Administrator to join their team. In this role, the Purchasing Administrator will play a key part in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of their purchasing and stock management operations. You will be responsible for accurate data entry within their ERP system, managing purchase orders, and maintaining strong communication with suppliers. Working closely with our Marketing, Warehouse, and Customer Care teams, you will help ensure smooth stock availability and distribution across the business.


Salary and Benefits:


*A salary of circa £30,000 per annum
*Working office-based Monday – Friday 8.30 am – 5.30 pm with working flexibility

Key Responsibilities:


*Accurately input and maintain data within the ERP system
*Raise purchase orders and liaise with suppliers regarding inbound stock
*Provide regular updates to internal teams on stock availability
*Manage back orders and ensure timely resolution
*Update internal task boards to support new product launches
*Oversee discontinued line management
*Provide general administrative support to the wider team as required


Minimum Skills and Competencies:


*Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
*Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
*Good commercial awareness and understanding of stock impact on operations
*Confident in supplier communication and relationship management
*Proactive problem-solving approach
*Qualifications in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field are advantageous
*Experience with ERP systems and data entry
*Previous exposure to purchasing processes or supplier management is desirable
*Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, reporting, stock tracking)
*Experience using ERP systems for inventory and data management
