Job Description:
Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) – Client Bank Provided | Boutique Community Firm | £70,000–£100,000 + Uncapped Earnings
Penn - Buckinghamshire
From time to time, a role emerges that feels less like a vacancy and more like a return to how financial advice ought to be — relationship-led, community-focused, and conducted at a more civilised pace.
This opportunity sits within a boutique financial planning firm based in an idyllic Buckinghamshire village — a business that has become a genuine community hub. Every client lives within a 10-mile radius, meetings are held properly face-to-face in the office, and the environment blends professionalism with a warm, familiar atmosphere (dogs included — both clients’ and colleagues’ are welcome visitors).
The firm has built its reputation on long-standing relationships, holistic advice, and a truly consultative approach. They are seeking a personable, engaging adviser — a true people person — who enjoys becoming a trusted figure within a loyal client community.
The Role – At a Glance
You will inherit a long-established client bank generating circa £400,000 in recurring revenue, made up of loyal local clients who value continuity, trust, and thoughtful financial planning. This is not a cold-selling role — the focus is on relationship management, holistic advice, and long-term client outcomes.
Key Highlights
• Inherited client bank (150–200 households, £35m–£55m AUM)
• Circa £400k recurring revenue provided
• All clients based locally (within ~10 miles)
• Office-based, face-to-face advice culture
• Dogs welcome in the office environment
• £70,000–£100,000 basic salary
• 25% commission on both recurring & new business after validation
• Uncapped earning potential
• Full paraplanning & administrative support
• Pension & Death in Service benefits
• Stable, highly respected firm with exceptional client retention
This is an ideal opportunity for an adviser who values meaningful client relationships over sales targets and is looking to build a long-term career within a respected, community-driven firm.
