A respected UK membership organisation and independent grant-making charity is looking for a Fundraising & Communications Administrator to join their dedicated team.
This charity exists to:
*Support members through hardship and education grants
*Champion the profile and impact of workers across the UK
This newly created role will be essential in providing smooth, effective administration to the fundraising and communications function—helping to raise vital funds, increase awareness, and ultimately improve the lives of those working in nursing.
Key Responsibilities
General Administration
*Act as the first point of contact for fundraising and communications enquiries via phone and email.
*Work closely with the Team Administrator to deliver seamless administrative support across the charity.
*Oversee stock levels of materials and merchandise, ensuring teams have what they need.
Fundraising Support
*Collate and send information to supporters, handling queries professionally and efficiently.
*Maintain and update the fundraising database, ensuring accurate, high-quality records.
*Process donations accurately and within agreed timeframes.
*Support fundraising research, reporting, and data analysis.
*Assist in planning, promoting, and delivering fundraising and profile-raising events.
*Help manage the charity’s online giving platforms (including JustGiving).
*Provide additional support for fundraising activities as required.
Communications Support
*Assist in gathering and developing case studies that help tell the story of the charity’s impact.
Events Support
*Support the delivery and promotion of fundraising events, stewardship activities, and challenge events.
*Contribute to preparations and delivery of the organisation’s presence at major sector events such as annual Congress activities.
Database Management
*Ensure the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is accurate, up to date, and compliant with internal processes.
Additional Responsibilities
*Uphold the charity’s values and demonstrate respect toward colleagues, members, donors, and beneficiaries.
*Champion equality, diversity, inclusion, and human rights in all work.
*Ensure full compliance with data protection policies and procedures.
*Carry out any other duties reasonably required within the scope of the role.
What We’re Looking For
*Strong administrative experience, ideally within fundraising, communications, or the charity sector
*Excellent communication skills and a confident, friendly approach
*Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks
*Good IT skills, with experience using CRM or fundraising databases highly desirable
Why Join?
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role within a charity that directly improves the wellbeing, career development, and recognition of professionals across the UK. You’ll be joining a warm, mission-driven team where your work will have a meaningful impact.
