The Financial Accountant will play a vital role in managing and maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organisation’s financial operations. Description
*Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
*Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently.
*Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
*Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
*Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
*Provide financial analysis and reports to support decision-making processes.
*Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.
*Support the implementation of process improvements within the Accounting & Finance department.
Profile
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
*A recognised accounting qualification or part-qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, or CIMA).
*Strong technical knowledge of financial accounting principles and standards.
*Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
*Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
*Experience working within the not-for-profit sector would be advantageous.
*Excellent organisational and time management skills.
*The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
