We are looking for people who are genuinely motivated by humanitarian, ethical and social impact work, and who want their craft to matter.
Role Purpose
This is a hybrid role spanning strategic support, operations, and executive assistance. You will be the connective tissue of the organisation: structuring priorities, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring the right things happen at the right time.
You must be comfortable switching between big-picture thinking and detailed execution – writing a board memo in the morning, optimising a workflow at lunch, and booking travel or updating a tracker in the afternoon.
Key Responsibilities
Founder Support & Executive Decision-Making
*Act as a thought partner to the Founder, helping prioritise initiatives, make decisions and manage trade-offs.
*Prepare briefing packs, agendas and follow-up actions for key meetings (Board, investors, partners).
*Represent the Founder in selected meetings, with authority to make agreed decisions and keep work moving.
Operations & Project Management
*Design simple, effective processes and flows across operations (e.g. project tracking, OKRs, communication rhythms).
*Own cross-functional projects from scoping through to delivery, ensuring deadlines are met and risks surfaced early.
*Maintain oversight of key workstreams in Marketing, Finance, Product and Partnerships, escalating issues where needed.
People, Culture & Wellbeing
*Support people-related processes (onboarding, basic HR admin, coordinating performance and feedback cycles) in partnership with external HR support as needed.
*Help cultivate a high-performance, high-care culture that supports wellbeing in a mission-intense environment.
*Use your understanding of people, psychology, sociology or HR to spot friction, misalignment or burnout early.
Executive Assistance & Administration
*Manage the Founder’s diary, travel and logistics with discretion and foresight.
*Coordinate documentation, filing and information management so that the organisation is well-organised and audit-ready.
*Handle confidential information with absolute trustworthiness.
Technology & Tools
*Use productivity and collaboration tools (e.g. Google Workspace / Microsoft 365, Notion, Slack, project management tools) to maintain visibility and flow.
*Suggest and implement new tools or automations where they can reduce friction and free up time.
Candidate Profile
Experience
*Previous experience in at least one of: Chief of Staff, Operations Manager/Director, Founder’s Associate, EA to C-suite, CEO Office, or similar generalist leadership-support role.
*Background in fast-paced environments (start-ups, scale-ups, professional services, or high-intensity non-profits).
*Project management experience; formal credentials (e.g. Prince2, PMP, Agile) are a plus.
Desirable
*Academic or professional grounding in Operational/Process improvement/efficiency, Business Management, HR, organisational psychology, sociology, or people development.
*Experience working with or around vulnerable populations, wellbeing services, or social impact organisations.
Traits & capabilities
*Exceptionally organised, structured and reliable.
*High emotional intelligence; able to read people and situations and adapt your style.
*Tech-savvy and confident experimenting with new tools.
*Comfortable holding delegated authority while remaining humble and happy to "get stuck in" with administrative tasks.
*Looking for a role with strong cultural alignment, healthy working practices and meaningful impact.
Practical Details
*Location: London – hybrid (typically 2–3 days per week in co-working; flexibility by agreement).
*Start date: ASAP, able to start within 1 month of offer.
*Right to work: You must have the right to work in the UK.
