Interim Communications Lead (6-Month Contract)
Rate: £600-£700 per day (Inside IR35)
Duration: 6 months
Location: Hybrid / UK-based
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Communications Lead to join a dynamic organisation on an initial 6-month contract. This role will play a critical part in shaping and delivering high-impact communications across a complex change environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy aligned to organisational objectives
*Lead internal and external communications during a period of transformation and change
*Partner with senior stakeholders to craft clear, engaging messaging
*Oversee content creation across multiple channels (digital, intranet, leadership comms, etc.)
*Manage communications planning, ensuring consistency, clarity, and alignment
*Provide expert advice on reputation management and stakeholder engagement
*Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of communications activities
Key Requirements
*Proven experience in a senior communications role, ideally within large or complex organisations
*Strong background in change communications and transformation programmes
*Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels
*Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
*Experience managing multiple communication channels and campaigns
*Ability to operate at pace and adapt in a fast-moving environment
Desirable
*Experience in regulated or professional services environments
*Background in consultancy or interim assignments
Additional Information
*Competitive day rate of £600-£700 (Inside IR35)
*Hybrid working model
*Immediate or short-notice start preferred
