ESOL Tutor – Community-Based - Leeds
Pay: £180 per day
Location: Leeds
Contract: Temporary, part-time
Reed Further Education are working with a leading education provider in the Leeds area who are seeking a dedicated ESOL Lecturer to join their team and deliver high-quality learning to adult ESOL learners across community settings.
Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging ESOL sessions in line with curriculum requirements
• Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans and learner-centred teaching materials
• Support development of speaking, listening, reading and writing skills
• Mark learner work, track progress and provide constructive feedback
• Adapt delivery to meet the diverse needs of adult ESOL learners
• Support learners with assessments, progression and confidence-building
Requirements
• UK-recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DTLLS/PGDE, CELTA, DELTA or equivalent)
• Degree or relevant ESOL/English-language related qualification
• Experience teaching ESOL to adult learners (Entry Level to Level 2)
• Strong understanding of ESOL curriculum, assessment and learner support
All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years’ referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks. Reed Further Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment by completing mandatory training within 6 weeks of your first assignment and annually thereafter.
