Job Description:
Operations Manager (Adults Services and Wellbeing)
*Location: HX1, Halifax
*Salary: £350 per day
*Job Type: Hybrid, Temporary Contract
We are seeking an Operations Manager to provide operational management and advance the adult social care vision within the new operating model that emphasises strength and asset-based approaches. This role involves representing Adult Social Care in the development and implementation of the five localities in Calderdale Cares, ensuring that services meet statutory responsibilities and regulatory standards, including those set by the CQC.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Manage the designated areas of social care, ensuring improved outcomes for people and providing good value for money that best meets the needs of the localities of Calderdale.
*Contribute to the redesign, improvement, and development of services that build on best practice between preventative and early intervention approaches alongside personalised and person-centred care.
*Ensure that teams deliver an effective, efficient service aligned to local needs, strategic plans, and statutory requirements.
*Build collaborative relationships with partners across the Council, Health, Third Sector, Community Groups, and our provider market.
*Identify gaps in service provision and ensure services are fit for purpose.
*Identify opportunities for further transformation through broadening our approach to collaborative working and integration across health and social care.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Knowledge of the adult social care prevention agenda, legislation, and integrated health and social care requirements.
*Strong influencing and negotiating skills.
*Proven record of mobilising staff to improve the quality and standards of practice.
*Effective budget management skills.
*Experience of presenting to local, regional, and national groups around key areas of health, social care, and the third sector.
*Recent and demonstrable experience of professional social work practice and/or Social Care regulated services.
*Evidence of leading large-scale change and organisational development.
