Job Description:
Account Manager (IT Solutions / Managed Services), Based in Basingstoke, Salary: £35-45k + car allowance (depending on experience) + uncapped OTE (£20-30k+) + excellent benefits. Hybrid working.
We have an opportunity for an Account Manager / IT Sales professional to join a leading national IT solutions provider. This role will focus on managing and growing an existing portfolio of accounts, whilst also identifying and developing new business opportunities within mid-market organisations (typically 50+ employees) across the private sector, education and housing.
You will be selling a broad portfolio of IT solutions including managed services, cloud, infrastructure, cyber security, backup and disaster recovery, hardware and communications. You’ll be given autonomy in how you approach the role, with full support from internal technical, vendor and marketing teams.
Account Manager role:
*Responsible for developing and growing a portfolio of existing customer accounts, whilst identifying new business opportunities.
*Managing and developing a portfolio of existing accounts (including active, lapsed and dormant customers)
*Identifying opportunities to grow account revenue through cross-sell and upsell of IT solutions
*Re-engaging dormant accounts and rebuilding customer relationships
*Generating new business opportunities through proactive sales activity including calls, LinkedIn, networking and meetings
*Proposing and presenting solutions both remotely and face to face
*Producing quotations and proposals in collaboration with internal technical teams
*Managing the full sales cycle including negotiation and closing
*Building long-term partnerships with customers to support ongoing growth
Candidate requirements:
*Proven experience in a B2B sales or account management role
*Experience selling IT solutions, managed services, cloud or infrastructure is highly advantageous
*Demonstrable success in growing customer accounts and/or winning new business
*Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify sales opportunities
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
*Experience using CRM systems, LinkedIn and Microsoft 365 tools
*A proactive, driven and target-focused approach
