Our client, a leading name in the procurement within civil engineering, is looking to bring on a talented Sourcing Manager. This position provides a platform to utilize your expertise in a challenging yet rewarding environment.




Role: Sourcing Manager
Contract Length: 6 months
Location: Milton Keynes *Hybrid - 3 days/week in the office)
Pay Rate: £600 - 646/day (Inside IR35)
Role Overview
This role involves managing sourcing activities for medium-cost and business-risk opportunities. You’ll be responsible for generating ideas and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver significant commercial and contractual value.


Key Responsibilities
*Manage the sourcing process from business requirement to contract signature for complex spending categories.
*Implement approved Integrated Category Strategies (ICS) for maximum savings.
*Apply the Sourcing Framework for opportunities outside ICS and manage risk and governance requirements.
*Expert negotiation for sourcing savings with the ambition to exceed predefined goals.
*Collaborate on sourcing ideas and innovation-based business cases to solve existing problems.
*Facilitate smooth transitions from sourcing execution to Strategic Supplier Management.
*Engage stakeholders through direct and indirect influence in a complex, devolved organization.
*Drive sourcing-aligned continuous improvement activities.


Essential Requirements
*Educated to a degree level in Business or Economics, with equivalent business experience.
*Deep sourcing experience with a track record of delivering savings.
*Skilled in negotiation, dispute resolution, and financial management.
*Political savviness with the ability to deploy influencing strategies at an executive level.
*Problem-solving skills for complex sourcing challenges.
