Title: Medical Records Clerk
Hourly rate: £12.90ph
Contract length: 3 months
Location: Darlington, DL1
Shift: 8am to 4pm with a 30-minute lunch break (Monday to Friday)
Hours per Week: 37.5


Role overview:
Performs administrative tasks for patient medical records and associated documents in accordance with an established paper-based or electronic filing system.


Responsibilities:
*Creating, updating and maintaining patient medical record information in accordance with local file management practices and electronic or manual record filing systems
*Retrieving, delivering and filing/storing patient records in line with daily schedules, emergency and special project needs
*Reviewing medical records for completeness and accuracy of required information and taking appropriate action to ensure record integrity
*Performing additional clerical and/or administrative duties as required within the medical records department.


Requirements
*Previous administrative or clerical experience
*Good level of computer literacy
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
*Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
*Comfortable with manual handling and a role that involves physical activity
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
